Our clients asked us to modernize their Lake Travis home, originally built in 1991. The existing house had a functional layout for their needs and a great location on the lake, but felt dated with arched windows, faux decorative beams, and other trappings of suburban 1990s construction.

The new design adds subtle clarity to the plan, particularly at the main entry and living room.  We opened up views through the house to the lake beyond. The kitchen was reconfigured to feature a large social island and integrated appliances. Replacing the old windows with larger, energy-efficient glazing had a dramatic impact on the proportions and aesthetics of the home, while new flooring, lighting, finishes and cabinets create a clean-lined contemporary feel that honors the original lakeside spirit of the house.
