Austin Green Building Program: promoting energy-efficient, sustainable building practice in Austin. U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC): non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation. LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design: A green building rating system associated with the U.S. Green Building Council that encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. We currently have one LEED SILVER home and one expected LEED GOLD building. The Nature Conservancy: we are underwriting sponsors and a host committee member for the Central Texas chapter’s annual Awards Luncheon fundraiser, raising money to help protect and restore our nation’s lands and waters. Shelter with Spirit: helping people live in healthy, sustainable environments.
