A constant rhythm of exposed structural members and fenestration disciplines an otherwise informal plan. Spatial characteristics of rooms are dependent on this structural module. Glazing is situated to enhance this relationship as ceiling and wall systems move from insisde to outside and back in again.

Screen porches, terraces and breezeways fuse with interior spaces allowing the building to breathe and extending rooms into the landscape. The house is rendered in a natural palette of Texas leuder limestone floors and walls, cypress siding and decking, and copper roof and accents.
